The guitar bridge (also known as the bridge) is one of the most important elements of the guitar, thanks to which the tension of the strings from the side of the soundboard is maintained. The opposite end of the strings is stretched and held in place by the tuning machine. Among other things, the guitar bridge transmits the vibration of the strings to the soundboard of the instrument, as a result of which the wood resonates and forms a unique tone. Stop Bars are a variety of Tune-O-Matic systems that are very popular with Les Paul type guitars. It is one of the oldest guitar bridge options.
