An internal preamplifier (preamp, preamp) is an indispensable element of a guitar with active electronics. It works like this: active low-impedance pickups have fewer turns. Due to this design, when removing the vibrations of the strings, there is less cut-off of low and high frequencies - thanks to this, the signal is fuller and richer. But on the other hand, it makes the signal of the active pickup too weak and quiet. This is where the internal preamp comes into play - it amplifies the sound, which is then fed into an external guitar amp, processors or stompboxes.
