The Bass Distortion pedal produces a voluminous and dirty distortion, equipped with separate Dry and Wet level controls to keep the lower frequencies intact.

MXR Bass Distortion reproduces a powerful gloomy sound with all the low frequencies that your dark souls can only wish for. Working closely with bass guru and founder of Fuzzrocious Pedals Ryan Ratajski, MXR specialists took a perfectly sounding distortion circuit and reworked it for the needs of a modern bass player.
Previously, if you wanted to use a distortion pedal and keep the lower frequencies intact, you had to split your pure and processed signals between two amplifiers. When using MXR Bass Distortion, this is no longer necessary - this pedal allows you to control the mixture of pure/processed signal using separate Dry and Wet level controls. The Tone control, which affects only the distorted signal, is a simple high-pass filter, and the Distortion control sets the distortion intensity.
And finally, the amazing MXR Bass Distortion sound is presented in two variants, selectable using the LED/SIL switch. The default SIL mode uses silicon limiting diodes for aggressive, biting sound and slight compression, while the LED mode uses LEDs for wider open sound and good gain.
