Casio AP-470BK Celviano - Digital Piano with stand and pedals, black
Unprecedented natural reproduction of the rich expressive power and resonance of an acoustic piano.
AiR Multidimensional Sound Source.
The characteristics of the AiR multi-dimensional sound source (acoustic and intelligent resonator) reflect the meticulous attention to detail in expressing the rich, resonant tones inherent in the piano. Onboard memory capacity has been increased to extend sampling duration and improve the quality of signal data. Temporal tone changes that create the sound you'd expect only from a piano, from the initial sound to a beautiful extension until the sound eventually fades away, are reproduced naturally.
Choose between two legendary piano timbres.
The established sounds of two world-famous grand pianos can be selected depending on the genre of music being played and the performance environment.
Grand Piano 1. A superb instrument for powerful performance with rich reverberation. Reproduces classical piano sounds ranging from a soft, gentle tone to a strong, powerful tone, depending on how hard you press the keys. Grand Piano 2. The right choice for colorful, lush performances. It makes itself known with a clear, direct sound, even when played in a band. The tonality is perfect for jazz and pop music.
Keyboard.
A natural playing experience that approaches that of a grand piano and turns the performer's thoughts into sound.
Three-touch hammer keyboard.
The difference between the sound structures of a grand piano and a digital piano is reflected in the difference in time, from the moment you play the instrument to the moment the sound becomes audible. The new Tri-sensor Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard II responds by activating the system with three sensors that sequentially detect key touches.
Simulated ebony and ivory keys for comfortable playing.
Ebony and ivory imitation keys provide a luxurious feel and texture, as well as a soft touch on the keyboard. The finely detailed surface prevents finger slippage and creates a perfect fingertip fit feeling, even when playing for long periods of time.
Lid simulator that reproduces the sound effects that occur when the lid is open.
The volume and sound quality change when the piano lid is raised or lowered. The Lid Simulator plays the same acoustic effects for a more enjoyable digital piano playing experience. The acoustic effects of opening and closing the lid are simulated in great detail.
The 88-key String Resonance function provides deep and rich resonance.
The sound of an acoustic piano is not just the sound associated with striking the keys. The strings, with frequencies closely related to those that produce the sound, also resonate, adding their own sound to give the music a uniquely rich resonance. In conventional digital pianos, this string resonance effect is virtually reproduced by the strings. AiR's multi-dimensional sound source system takes the approach by adopting a "string resonance" system that includes a stereo resonance simulator for all 88 keys. The resonance of the 88 keys is reproduced fully and naturally. The resonance realized when playing a single tone is different from the resonance realized when playing a chord, in order to naturally reproduce the resulting variations in resonance. This even allows performers to achieve different resonances, controlling them at will with the power of touch, and thus realizing a performance with the unique expressiveness of an acoustic piano.
Key Off simulator that reproduces tonal variations as a result of releasing a key.
The duration of reverberation and expression produced by the piano varies according to the speed at which the performer releases his or her finger after touching the key. The new keyboard includes a pressure simulator that naturally reproduces these nuances that occur when the key is released. The result is the expression of authentic reverberations that feel exactly like those of a grand piano.
Damper Pedal Resonance.
The deep, beautiful resonance resulting from the damper pedal is also naturally reproduced by the stereophonic resonance simulator on all 88 keys, which is different from the usual simulated playback using effects. Attention to detail goes as far as simulating the resonance created by the rise of the damper itself when the pedal is depressed.
Hall Simulator.
The Hall Simulator function simulates the various acoustic characteristics of world-famous concert halls, from clean reverb with outstanding tonal transparency to free-flowing, dazzling reverb. An advanced equalizer system allows the pianist to fully enjoy the energetic sound of the piano.

High-quality audio recordings of 10 live orchestra performances are loaded into the piano's memory. Pianists can play along with the recordings and enjoy the feeling of being part of a great performance.
