Everything is bigger in Texas - and it's hard to imagine a bigger sound than Texas native Billy Gibbons' 1959 Les Paul Pearly Gates. When you have something good, you better have more of it. Even though Pearly is #1 for him, Billy owns a lot of guitars, and he needs to be able to reproduce that humbucker tone he loved in his '59s, no matter what he's playing. So, after a call to La Maestra, Maricela "MJ" Juarez, a new pickup was born.

Meet the Red Devil. All the fat, P.A.F. tones and the famous Texas hot hiss in a pickup that has single dimensions are proof that a tone as big as Texas can be in a deceptively small package. The Red Devil for Strat kit includes three unique pickups with specially adjusted Alnico 5 magnets.

The bridge pickup is wound to enhance your Strat and provide the bold tone that Billy is famous for. The neck and middle pickups turn down the heat a little and emphasize the sweet smoky blues, which makes them ideal for sonorous clear tones and energetic rhythms, but at the same time they have enough power that Billy requires to play.

Hand-assembled in Santa Barbara, California, the Red Devil for Strat comes with a 4-core wire for various connection options and is coated with wax to ensure smooth operation. The team of craftsmen is proud to create Seymour Duncan products to produce the most amazing sound possible.
