The P90s have always been somewhat of an insider pickup. Connoisseurs recognized the P90 as an intermediate link between single-coil and humbucking pickups. With the bright and articulate high tones you'd expect from a single coil and, thanks to their shape, a warmer, rounded tone that gets closer to what you want from a humbucker. But because the P90s are single-coil, they also bring a distinct sound to the sound.
Our Hot P90 Silencer's innovative silent design retains all the tone and appearance of the classic P90 pickup without the 60-cycle hum. The Hot P90 Silencer is a more aggressive version, offering a more aggressive sound. These pickups replace most standard P90 pickups.
