Any guitarist who has ever plugged an acoustic guitar into an amplifier or speaker system knows the problem: some strings always sound louder than others. You can never be sure of the balance of the strings' sound.
Now Shadow has solved the problem that has confounded generations of guitarists and sound engineers. The Nanoflex-6 combines six pickups - one for each string - into one module!

Six potentiometers allow you to precisely match the sound of the strings - customizing it just the way you want it. Now it's easier than ever for acoustic and classical guitarists around the world to control the volume of each individual string.
Pan control: 3D measurement in sound.
The leftmost position of the knob creates a signal that sounds monophonic. Turning the knob to the right gently dilutes the sound of the strings into a panoramic sound.
This results in a depth of sound that didn't exist before. What's more, adding effects like chorus, delay, etc. to just the high strings creates a sound image perceived by the ear that is three-dimensional and natural!
Separation of the sound of the strings in the far right position of the pan control knob:
- 6 E string - 100% left speaker
- 5 string A - 75% left and 25% right speaker
- 4 string R and 3 string G - 50% left and 50% right speaker
- 2 string B - 25% left and 75% right speaker
- 1 E string - 100% right speaker.
Now you can apply the reverb effect to the treble strings without applying it to the bass strings. This is the way it should happen.

This causes the bass to dominate the overall sound and subdue the melody. The SH 4020 solves this problem too: in one easy movement, you can reduce the volume of the bass strings and balance the overall sound pattern at the speaker output.
An efficient three-band equalizer (bass, midrange and treble) optimally adjusts the sound to your personal preferences.
An automatic chromatic tuner guarantees precise guitar tuning. It works accurately, quickly and is absolutely reliable.
The phase shifter eliminates all unwanted noise resulting from feedback.
