24-bit / 96kHz pure silent sound

First and foremost, the iRig HD 2 sounds amazing. It gives you superior premium digital audio quality, thanks to 24-bit analog-to-digital converters and 96kHz sampling - the highest in its class - for a crystal-clear digital signal free of noise and interference.

This clean, high-resolution conversion allows your guitar's natural tone to come through loud and clear when performing and recording on your iPad, iPhone, Mac or PC. Its super-transparent preamp ensures that every nuance - from daters, decks, string size, material, electronics, and every other reason why you picked "that" guitar in the first place - is accurately transmitted to the device completely free of coloration or interference. And because of its 96kHz sampling, the depth and clarity of the sound will simply blow you away - the iRig HD 2 sounds superb.

Amp Out with dual switching modes

One of the things that makes the iRig HD 2 unique is the ability to send your processed signal directly to your guitar amp without the need for special adapters.

The iRig HD 2 features an unbalanced 1/4" Amp Out jack that you can use to send your processed or unprocessed guitar signal to an external amplifier, floor tuner, or completely different live performance equipment.

The Amp Out jack has a dual switching mode, allowing you to select the type of signal you want to send to your amplifier.

The "FX" setting sends a processed signal or sound coming from your software/application to an external device. This is ideal when you want to use your iPad or laptop as a pedalboard, amp input stage, or emulate a full rig in a live environment.

The "Thru" setting sends your guitar's dry raw signal straight to the output, allowing you to use a floor or rack tuner, pedalboard, or even a full rig on stage.

Plus as an added feature, the iRig HD 2 has a microphone stand clip and Velcro tape so you can clip it to a microphone stand on stage when performing live.

Integrated headphone output compatible with iPhone 7

If you're considering upgrading to the latest and greatest iPhones, then listen up. The iRig HD 2 supports the new 1/8" (3.5mm) headphone jack with a preamp and level control integrated into the device, so you can monitor your recording and performance... even if your device doesn't have a headphone jack. Pretty clever.

But this is no ordinary standard headphone jack - it has a high-resolution headphone preamp that optimizes the audio signal for full-range playback and monitoring. You can also use this output to send a stereo signal to a mixing console or a pair of active monitors like the iLoud Micro Monitor.
