When opening a new set of Dunlop strings, you will see that they are packed not in plastic, but in special VCI (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor) bags. Envelopes made using this technology create a protective barrier around the string and maintain the required level of moisture, protecting it from rust. VCI sleeves keep strings as fresh as the day they were made.
