Galli Musical Strings Co. was founded in 1890 by Tommaso Galli, who was originally from Salle in Abruzzo, where the production of strings from natural raw materials, which were replaced in the 1930s by the introduction of the first synthetic materials. In the 1970s, the first innovations in the production process are introduced, marking the emergence of Black Nylon strings for electroacoustic instruments with steel core in black nylon braiding, which are extremely soft and have a very warm sound that makes them ideal for "fretless" instruments. In 1985 the third generation of the Galli family, presents new designs. Gypsy Jazz strings, specifically designed for "manouche" guitars with a steel hexagonal core and a silk middle, giving the strings a soft tension and a warm sound.
In the new millennium, a range of professional classical guitar strings is available: Genius, with a silver-plated copper plating, antioxidant protection for multilayer nylon, Crystal, for the purest sound, Carbon with a perfect projection and harmony, Titanio with a high-pitched sound, Flamenco with a special tension and a characteristic flamenco sound, and Black & White for the traditional Spanish sound.
In the last decade Galli Strings Co. began experimenting: D-tuned strings were developed for lowered tuning and extreme playing, the ideal choice for bass guitars and modern instruments, strings that do not cause "buz" effects.
Recently a new range of strings for electric guitars was introduced: RS Nickel & MS Steel nickel, which create a rich, long-lasting sound. PN Pure Nickel: a nickel plated string which provides a warm and vintage sound - perfect for traditional blues, classic rock, rockabilly and more.
