Brass has been a very desirable material for guitar makers since the invention of this instrument; it is known for simultaneously enhancing warmth and purity of sound - a rare combination. By significantly increasing the clarity of the chords and amplifying individual tones, it also significantly improves resonance, especially in the middle frequencies of the instrument. All these improvements are accompanied by the undeniably vintage sound and feel of this time-tested material.

Since this unit is larger than a conventional sustain unit, it can also limit the upward movement of the tremolo and can be installed so that it rests on the housing in a locked bridge configuration. To install a floating bridge, this unit may require some padding in the spring cavity.

The original 7-string tremolo 1000 series and special 7-string tremolo systems have a distance between the holes for mounting the sustain block, which is unlike any of our other systems - for this reason they can only function with factory-installed sustain blocks. These units will work on 7-string 1000 Series Pro models!
