The PowerStage 200 is a compact 200W pedal-sized guitar amp designed for players who are looking for a powerful pedal amplifier for any concert, rehearsal or studio session. The PS200 was created specifically for players who get their tone from modeling devices, topboxes or a combination of them. It has all the necessary functions — reliability, clean power supply, switchable equalizer, simulated speakers, Aux input and headphone connection.

Like the PowerStage 170 and 700, the PowerStage 200 retains the distinctive characteristics of the PowerStage family — providing a platform that reveals the best qualities of your sound. Compact, clean, organic and reliable power is at the heart of the PowerStage family — and once again the PS200 lives up to this promise. The PowerStage 200, loud enough to fit your drummer and fill a room of almost any size, provides clean, reliable amplification and a huge power reserve, allowing your pedals or modeler to shine.

A pure guitar amp is the best solution if you want to get the most out of your pedals and model equipment. Many tube amps fail too early, making it difficult to install an intact, clean platform for your pedals (especially at higher volume). Moreover, if you use modeling tools such as Kemper, Helix or Axe FX, any unwanted distortion can ruin your carefully crafted patches. The PowerStage 200 solves these problems by providing you with crystal-clear 200 watts of power. But don't get confused — crystal clear power doesn't mean sterility or lack of depth. The PS200 has a wonderful warmth and smoothness that will give you all the dimensions and organicity of an excellent tube amplifier.

Another problem when using tube amplifiers is that they usually have a certain “highlight”, which can only be achieved at a higher volume. However, the PS200 has a rich sound throughout the volume range. So from grinding in the bedroom to rocking in the arena, your tone will remain the same without any loss of depth or warmth. Think of the PS200 as one thing with a big advantage.

The PS200 is equipped with two outputs for speakers with a diameter of ¼ inch, which allows you to use multiple cabinets. And since impedance matching is done internally, you never have to worry about speaker impedance — just plug and play.

The PS200 is slightly more powerful than the PS170 and has a slightly different feature set. After listening to our customers and consulting with many of the largest companies in the industry, we have narrowed down the feature set for the PS200, which is simple but flexible. We noticed that many guitarists perform in a variety of unpredictable places. To minimize uncertainty, we included a cab sim card (4×12 with a closed back panel) with a DI (XLR) connector. You can send your audio signal to the front of the house or to the monitoring system without microphone leakage or unwanted noise typical of traditional microphone installations. What you get is a clear sound in any setting.

Independent bypass switches are included for both the cabin SIM card and the equalizer. This feature makes silent recording more flexible. When you bypass the cockpit SIM card, you can use your own cockpit SIM card or an IR device that can expand your palette of great cockpit beeps to pair with the PS200. Bypassing the equalizer section, you can transfer the tone shaping functions to your modeling device or your preferred equalizer shaping tool.

To give more high-end shine, we've added a presence control feature that gives you a total of 4 equalizer bands on the PS200. The presence controller is also a great tool to eliminate any sharp digital artifacts found in some modelers.

Aux In allows you to jam along with drum grooves, backing tracks or your favorite albums while practicing at home or in a hotel room on the road. Just plug in your music player or computer audio system and practice in silence with full sound emulated by the speakers. Aux In is also a great tool during rehearsals when you need to revise a part or practice without disturbing your bandmates. The 1/8” headphone jack has its own volume control located at the top of the amplifier.
