Shape your sound with advanced routing. Change your tone using modulation.
The Nux Mod Core Deluxe MkII is a pedal with 8 different modulation types, including ST.CH (Stereo Chorus), CE-1, SCF CHO, SCF FLG, SCF PM, U-VIBE CHO, U-VIBE VIB and PH-100. You can switch the modulation types using the Type rotary switch.
This pedal offers advanced signal routing thanks to the Send and Return functions. Easily split the mono signal to create individual effect cycles! In addition, you can use two signals in parallel and use the Tweak knob in Alt mode to mix the signals. Just use the 3-way switch to select the mode.
ST.CH (Stereo Chorus) is based on MXR Stereo Chorus, which has a great sound. Nux consolidated the controls by eliminating the bass and treble knobs, which are now "set to the middle position", and completely eliminated the need for a low-pass filter, which is now automatically adjusted thanks to improvements in Core-Image sound modeling.
The CE-1 is based on the legendary BOSS CE-1, which was the first chorus effect pedal introduced on stage in 1976. Before that, it was only available as a built-in effect in a classical jazz amplifier. Mod Core Deluxe MkII exactly repeats the characteristics of this pedal; it is a special, easily recognizable warmth of a rich jazz atmosphere.
The SCF is a tribute to the TC Electronic Stereo Chorus Flanger, one of the best modulation pedals ever created.
SCF CHO: Chorus is essentially a pitch generator that mixes multiple delay signals. When several delay signals are mixed with the original signal, a soft and wide sound modulation effect is created.
SCF FLG: Flanger is based on the same principle as chorus, although here the signal can be regenerated (for example, by adding feedback when delayed), creating a more characteristic sound effect.
SCF PM: A combination of chorus and tonal vibrato, creating a "light" chorus sound.
U-VIBE is inspired by Dunlop Uni-Vibe with its stunningly unique sound. The old-school Uni-vibe provided stunning three-dimensional sound, simulating the physical effect of a rotating speaker; this beautiful and unforgettable tone is easily associated with Hendrix's facial expressions during his stage performances of the 60s.
U-VIBE CHO: Depth changes the depth of the effect.
U-VIBE VIB: Depth changes the degree of pitch modulation.
The PH-100 is based on the MXR PHASE 100, which has both a speed controller and a four-wave intensity controller. Phase 100 offers a wide range of sound.
Intuitive user interface.
The Rate handle. Adjusts the modulation rate.
Handle Depth. Adjusts the modulation sweep range.
The Modulation Type handle. Select the type of modulation.
Note. The original version of the PH-100 has only 2 parameters, so the Tweak handle has no function in the PH-100 model.
The Tweak handle. In modes ST.CH/CE-1/SCF CHO/SCF FLG/SCF P.M. / U-VIBE CHO / U-VIBE VIB, the Tweak knob adjusts the modulation level of the mix. In the PH-100, the Tweak pen has no function.
The Tweak handle also acts as a Blend handle in Alt mode. To access this, set the switch to // (parallel). Now you can press and hold the footswitch to enter Alt mode. Now the Tweak knob becomes a Blend function that allows you to adjust the mixing of the modulation effect signal and the Send/Return signal. (Counterclockwise, more Send/Return signal is obtained, clockwise — more modulation signal.)
Switch. The switch only works in advanced routing settings. For normal routing, it has no function. Set the switch to the desired position to select signal routing. PRE means that the modulation effect precedes the Send/Return cycle. // (parallel) means that the modulation effect and the Send/Return cycle are parallel. POST means that the modulation effect comes after the Send/Return cycle.
Footswitch and FS indicator. Tap once to turn the effect on/off. Press twice to activate the Smart Tap Tempo function. The speed is related to the rate of pressing (the FS indicator will flash according to the current number of beats per minute). While the effect is on, the FS indicator will glow red. When the effect is disabled, the FS indicator goes out.
Inputs/outputs.
Power connector. Use ONLY: the power supply minus 9 V in the center with a current of more than 150 mA (power consumption is less than 110 mA).
USB-C port. The USB-C port is designed for firmware updates. Connect the USB cable to the PC and hold the footswitch to boot the device and enter DFU mode (device Firmware Update). Once connected, you can perform firmware updates using the DFU update software. Download the corresponding firmware and its update guide from the product page.
Input connectors. The audio inputs on the right side of the pedal are standard 1/4-inch (mono/TS) connectors. Connect the guitar to the In (mono) audio input on the right side of the pedal using a regular 1/4-inch instrument cable.
The Return connector. For advanced routing, connect pre-effects such as overdrive/distortion to the Return connector.
Output connectors. Normal routing: The audio outputs on the left side of this pedal are standard 1/4-inch (mono/TS) connectors. Connect the Out1 audio output to the next device in the signal circuit either with a single cable or with a pair of 1/4-inch cables if both Out1 and Out2 outputs are used. Advanced routing: Out1 sends a modulation effect. Send out sends a loop signal.
