The NUX Monterey Vibe pedal is designed to recreate the complexity of the psychedelic rock of the 1960s and 70s. It can be used as a chorus effect, Leslie speaker, or phaser. Instead of the original circuit of a pulsating lamp and 4 photoresistors, the pedal uses a powerful 32-bit audio signal processor, which allows you to simulate complex physical phenomena in the original analog circuit.The Monterey Vibe pedal can simulate a unique effect that is a mix of chorus, tremolo, Leslie speakers, and phaser. This is the sound you can hear in Pink Floyd's "Breathe", Robin Thrower's "Bridge of sighs" and Jimi Hendrix's "Machine Gun".The first such pedal, the Uni-Vibe, was developed in the 1960s, when guitarists tried to replace it with a heavy amp with a rotating speaker, a standard electric organ amplifier. With this pedal, the guitarists acquired a good phaser effect.Just like on the traditional Uni-Vibe pedal, which has chorus and tremolo effects, on the Monterey Vibe pedal, you can switch between these two modes. In chorus mode, the mix of dry guitar sound and phaser becomes rotating. In tremolo mode, the pitch changes periodically.
