Shift Line A+ Astronaut V reverb effect pedal
A+ Astronaut V is the next step in the evolution of the Astronaut Space Reverb. Using a new platform based on Arm-architecture and Cortex® processor technology and an Analog Devices codec, it further expands its capabilities and takes effect quality to an entirely new level.
The Astronaut V also features 22 unique signal processing algorithms, all of which are highly customisable. The best software available in previous Astronaut versions has been redesigned to take advantage of the new surround processor's ease of use. Traditional reverb algorithms are included, as well as complex acoustic structures, effects and arpeggios.
The control interface has been completely redesigned. Every algorithm now stores all user settings in memory.
With 33 presets, Astronaut V lets you spend less time searching for sounds and more time concentrating on the music.
Dual-mono processing architecture conserves the stereo space of the input signal. A VCA (voltage controlled amplifier) is used to cross-mix the original and master signals, ensuring the smoothest possible transition between mixing and Kill Dry. The original signal does not pass through the A/D converter circuit, so there is no delay and it remains unchanged.
The universal CTRL socket enables control of all processing parameters via MIDI (including PC commands) and also accepts analogue triggers and an expression pedal. The pedal is equipped with USB Type C socket for customisation of functions and firmware upgrades (there are plans for further expansion of functions available via USB interface).
The device is versatile and extremely musical. Creating massive soundscapes just got more interesting and enjoyable.
The Astronaut V is a stereo rig for inspiration!

External parameter control
The CTRL stereo jack for connecting external control of pedal parameters has several modes of operation:
Passive controllers (normally open, non-latching button). Duplicates the functions of the buttons. TIP contact is TAP/ALT, RING contact is ON/HOLD.
Controls all parameters via MIDI (Type A). This mode is enabled by default.
S-trigger is an analog "short circuit trigger". Operates with the same polarity as the pedal. This type of trigger is preferred. The TIP contact is the TAP function, the RING contact is the HOLD function.
V-trigger - An analogue trigger or gate ("voltage trigger"/"positive trigger"). Operates in reverse polarity to the pedal. If there is no external signal in the CTRL jack, the LED will illuminate and some of the pedal's functions will be disabled. When a control source is connected, functionality is restored. The TIP contact is the TAP function, the RING contact is the HOLD function. Use this type of trigger if your equipment does not allow for S-trigger generation, or if you prefer to use this type of trigger/gate.
Passive Expression Pedal. External control of the DECAY knob. We recommend using expression pedals with a mono cord (TS) connection. Extended functionality under development.
Passive controllers (normally open, non-latching button) or analogue S-trigger. TIP contact - Quick Access function, RING contact - TAP function.
