Why do you need a humidifier?

If you live in an area with low humidity, the wood of any instrument can dry out and warp, resulting in playability issues such as fret rattling, etc. This is not an instrument design fault. This is a natural reaction of wood to low humidity. We love the tools we make and we want you to keep using them. With proper care, they will last for generations.

Our recommendations for use:

Use distilled water
Open the lid and pour water
Shake off excess moisture, then wipe the outer surface dry
Insert a humidifier into the resonator hole between the strings.
Check the water level in the humidifier regularly
Use a humidifier if your instrument is stored in a case or case
