Set: 1 potentiometer 25K, 1 potentiometer PUSH/PULL, stereo Jack socket, mounting screws, springs, wires with connectors.
The 89R is similar to the 89 but the coils are reversed so the single coil side is closer to the neck to capture the sweet spot Strat fans love. With two pickups in one, the 89R contains separate preamps and coils for individual humbucker and single coil sounds. Loaded with Alnico V magnets, the humbucking sound is rich, warm and powerful, yet still clean and articulate like an 85.
Single-coil mode, accessed via the included push-pull potentiometer, delivers the traditional Strat single-coil sound: bright, airy and resonant, and very similar to the EMG SA. In either mode, the clear sound is superbly flawless and has a lot of presence. Used equally in the neck and bridge positions. Whether you play hard rock or jazz, you can get it all with this perfectly balanced and versatile pickup.
