When she needed pickups that would showcase her technical and melodic playing, Lari Basilio turned to Seymour Duncan to create a signature set. The result is a single-coil neck pickup and a unique mid-pickup. The single coil tone is supported by a punchy humbucker in the bridge that delivers clarity even with the most challenging chord runs. Both single coils feature Alnico 5 magnets under the low strings. Alnico 4 magnets are located under the high strings of the neck pickup, and Alnico 2 magnets are located under the high strings of the middle pickup. These moderate power pickups are becoming increasingly versatile with more complex wiring configurations.

As with all vintage models, faithfulness to the smallest details is maintained. Craftsmen hand sand the magnets, then hand assemble the spools from traditional Forbon and dip them in varnish before winding. The varnish stabilizes Forbon for decades. Once wound, the pickup is wrapped with black cotton yarn and vintage-style waxed fabric wire is soldered to the coil lugs.
