Scooped Strat pickups were designed for players who wanted to cover everything from the singing and screaming vintage Texas blues to the soft crunch and clean high tones of pop rock. To cover such a range, the pickups were tuned in such a way as to emphasize the high and low frequencies while reducing the midrange.
Each pickup is based on a set of 50s-style pickups with a slightly higher pole height that provide higher midrange frequencies. These Alnico 5 pickups will create an incredible balance with pedals and amplifiers that sound at higher midrange frequencies.
