For almost 30 years, the DiMarzio X2N model has not ceased to be in great demand among metal lovers around the world. Over the past few years, DiMarzio have been developing completely new approaches in the manufacture of pickups to bring together a powerful and clear sound, which resulted in the introduction of the D Activator pickup to the public.

Today, DiMarzio introduces a new model, the D Activator-X Neck, which looks just as amazing as the X2N and has the same order of power output, but the coils are tuned to different frequencies, which can significantly increase the dynamics of the pickup and improve its sound to “ pure sound."

The D Activator-X Neck is designed as a calibrated pair to the D Activator-X Bridge, with a focused attack in the upper midrange. The D Activator-X Neck is a less powerful sensor than the D Activator-X Bridge. What is often not taken into account is that - at the neck position, the strings create stronger vibrations and a higher output voltage than at the bridge. But the craftsmen at DiMarzio have taken care of that, and both the D Activator-X Neck and Bridge pickups are perfectly balanced when paired with each other. Also, the D Activator-X neck modification has a smaller magnetic field, resulting in a rich sound without creating any interference with sustain. Both the Neck and Bridge modifications were originally created for heavy styles, but are great for playing in any style, providing great sound in both parallel and series connection of coils.
