The Alnico II Pro Strat kit uses flat (non-stepped) Alnico 2 hand-ground rod magnets and a heavy Formvar wire with a special winding scheme to get that classic elastic tone that can be expected from the best Stratocaster pickups of the 50s. The flat pole arrangement is designed to improve string balance and response on guitars with lighter strings or flat frets. The treble attack is soft and pleasant, the midrange is slightly elevated, and the low ones have a vintage touch. The chords have a pleasant, smooth sound, and the individual notes have a melodious, musical character.
The pickups have the same power, winding direction and magnetic polarity in all positions.
The pickup bobbins are hand-crafted and varnished in the same way as it was done during the Golden Age of Fenders, and coated with wax to ensure smooth operation.
