Octave MK-101 is a condenser microphone of modular design with a replaceable capsule with a wide diaphragm.

Cardioid directional pattern allows high-quality sound transmission from the front hemisphere. Interchangeable wide-diaphragm capsule in combination with the applied electronic circuitry provides optimal acoustic characteristics and high sound quality of studio or concert recording with natural transmission of acoustic nuances.

The microphone works well with explosive and slotted consonants, while the microphone's cardioid characteristic and "elastic" low frequencies make it ideal for vocals, especially for recitative and rap.

The microphone combines the vintage character of the popular MK-319 capsule with the purity of the transformerless circuitry of the MK-012. This makes the MK-101 an excellent microphone for male or female vocals where minimal sibilance and a powerful midrange presence are required.

The transformerless preamplification circuit provides a low intrinsic noise level equivalent to 18dB.

Octave has equipped this microphone with a cardioid capsule with a wide diaphragm, so it provides a uniform frequency response over a wide frequency range - from 20 to 20,000 Hz.

The MK-101 design is assembled from several modules: a microphone preamplifier, on which the cardioid capsule is mounted. In addition, the kit includes a "-10 dB" attenuator and a swivel holder. The microphone is powered by a phantom circuit with a voltage of 48 V.
