Volume levels vary from instrument to instrument and device to device. And while the original iRig provided superior sound, it was limited by the fact that you couldn't customize the input gain level for your particular system. With the iRig 2, you get an input gain control that gives you the ability to deliver high-quality sound in any situation. This means you'll be able to get your best performances whether you're plugging a "howling" electric guitar with three humbuckers or a hollow body jazz guitar into your iPhone.

Similarly, its 1/4" instrument input works with your guitar, bass, or any line instrument. Just plug it in like you would plug it into a stompbox or amp. It's that simple.

Want to take it on stage? The iRig 2's new 1/4" output jack allows you to use it with an amplifier as part of your concert equipment without the need for an adapter.

This opens up a whole world of possibilities when paired with AmpliTube for iOS, a powerful guitar and bass multi-effects processor. It gives you a vast library of carefully modeled virtual stom-box effects, amps, and other equipment that you can use as part of your physical gear when you're jamming with friends, practicing, in the recording studio, or performing live. Or, if you want to be considerate of those around you, plug the headphones into the available 1/8" output jack.

Even better, the iRig 2 has a switch that lets you choose between a processed signal and a clean input signal. This means you can also use your mobile device as a tuner, recorder, or other instrument while maintaining a clean 100% analog signal path.

The IRig 2 will help you maximize the ease of practice and performance. It comes with a microphone stand holder and Velcro tape that allows you to easily attach it when performing, along with other handy tools like the iKlip for all sizes of smartphones and tablets.
