Our original high-performance ceramic humbuckers, Duncan Distortion neck and bridge are ideal for aggressive rock and metal performers.
The Duncan Distortion Bridge is our original humbucker with high performance. It is equipped with a massive ceramic magnet and hot coil windings to produce well-balanced rock and metal tones with a rich content of upper-mid-range harmonics. Great for harsh, crunchy rhythms and a searing leaden tone. The riffs are dense and percussive, and working with leads is fast and direct with ultra-clear picking dynamics.
Originally known as the SH-7 Seymourizer, the Duncan Distortion neck pickup is specifically designed for use with the corresponding high power output bridge version. It is hot enough to produce smooth solo tones with high gain, while maintaining sonorous clear tones.
The Duncan Distortion, handcrafted in our Santa Barbara, California factory, uses a large ceramic rod magnet, a nickel silver bottom plate, a 4-wire lead wire for various connection options, and a vacuum wax fill to ensure smooth operation.
