The P90s have always been somewhat of an insider pickup. Connoisseurs valued the P90 as a cross between single-coil and humbucker pickups. With the bright and articulate high tones you'd expect from a single coil, and, thanks to their shape, also a warmer, rounded tone that gets closer to what you want from a humbucker. But because the P90s are single-coil, they also add extra punch to the sound.
The Vintage P90 Silencer's innovative silent design retains all the tone and appearance of the classic P90 pickup without the 60-cycle hum. The output of this model is the same as the vintage one. These pickups replace most standard P90 pickups.
