In 2017, after a long search for the perfect guitar, Brad Paisley purchased an original 1968 Telecaster. The guitar played great, but unfortunately was painted with black acrylic paint. So Brad brought the guitar to Bill Crook to have the black paint removed and replaced with a classic '68 paisley pattern. After removing some of the thick black paint, Bill discovered a surprise that shocked them both: an original 1968 Fender pink paisley finish! Brad named the guitar La Brea because the black paint covering the completely intact, all-original pink paisley paper reminded him of the tar pits in Southern California. By this point, Brad liked almost everything about La Brea, but there was one thing that wasn't quite right—the pickups. Naturally, Brad called his buddy Seymour W. Duncan, and together they created the perfect, vintage-accurate pickups - the Brad Paisley Signature La Brea Telecaster Set.

Created in close collaboration with an American country music legend, this set of vintage-voiced Telecaster pickups will give you the fullest twang and signature feel of classic Fender instruments. Alnico II in the neck and Alnico IV in the bridge are the perfect combination to bring out the sweetest Telecaster tones.
