The first-class JB (SH-4) and Jazz Model (SH-2) humbucker pickups are a versatile combination that will breathe life into any guitar.
Seymour created this classic combination of humbuckers while in England in 1974, and to this day it remains his favorite set of pickups – the SH-4 JB model for bridge and the SH-2n Jazz model for neck. Together, these pickups have become one of the most timeless and versatile humbuckers ever created.

The JB humbucker model is our most popular pickup of all time. It adds sharpness and versatility to the bridge position of any guitar equipped with a humbucker. Thanks to the hot coils and the 5 bar alnico magnet, this pickup provides an unmistakable attack of upper midrange frequencies, dense, pronounced low frequencies and harmoniously saturated high frequencies that really sing. JB is the perfect bridge pickup for everything from blues and country to the roughest hard rock and metal.

The Jazz neck humbucker uses a 5 bar alnico magnet and a special coil winding to produce clear, glassy high frequencies that blend very well with full but dense low frequencies. The beveled midrange gives this pickup its own smooth timbre. Originally designed as a neck pickup for the JB bridge model, Jazz is an incredibly versatile humbucker that will suit almost any style of music. The jazz model has been used by many great musicians over the decades, from Randy Rhodes to Jeff Beck and Seymour W. Duncan.

Handcrafted at our Santa Barbara, California factory, these humbucker pickups use a 5 bar Alnico magnet, a nickel silver bottom plate, a 4-wire lead wire for various connection options, and a vacuum wax fill to ensure smooth operation.
