Meet the special set of Saturday Night humbuckers. These pickups are made using Alnico 4 magnets to give a balanced vintage tone. Think of the arena rock melodies of the late 70s with rich, clean and bold, vocal-like, overloaded leads.
Unlike traditional humbuckers, Saturday Night Special humbuckers sound a little hotter and fatter in the bridge position, as well as a little cleaner and less “hairy" in the neck area. They are more aggressive than the 50s-style models, but without the compression inherent in most high-gain pickups. Clean sounds are warm and musical, while overloaded tones cut through without being harsh at high frequencies or cloudy at low ones. They eliminate the gap in sound level between vintage humbuckers of the 50s and modern ones, which makes this pickup ideal for reproducing the legendary timbres of arena rock of the late 70s.

The special Saturday Night set is made in Santa Barbara, California. Four-core wiring, maple gasket and short mounting legs are included as standard. Available with nickel caps, gold caps, black uncoated coils and Zebra uncoated coils.
