Alex Skolnik's humbuckers are designed to complement expressive melodies and aggressive palm muffling, which define his signature genre tones, breathtaking and thought-provoking.

Having appeared in the late 80s as a teenage prodigy from the legendary thrash metal Testament, Alex Skolnik immediately established himself as one of the leading guitarists of the genre. In 2002, after graduating from the University of New School, he switched to jazz with the Alex Skolnik trio and numerous other instrumental groups.

Designed in collaboration with Alex for his signature guitar, these humbuckers have become a popular custom-made kit in the Custom Shop. Both pickups complement expressive melodies and aggressive muffling of sound with the palm of your hand, which determine its genre tone. The bridge pickup has a hot winding and is designed to amplify medium frequencies. The neck humbucker has less power and a vintage sound, which creates a clear counterbalance to the boldness of the bridge pickup.
